Helena's Charity Work

As well as working, playing and doing DIY, I spend some time indulging my hippy-er side!

I heard about the work and philosophy of Dr Albert Schweitzer through my Dad (who wrote a highly acclaimed biography of the man), and through him I met the people who run Dr Schweitzer's Hospital Fund. Over the past few years I have been involved in the development of a new charity - Friends of Albert Schweitzer (UK) - of which I am a trustee, and through which we aim to promote the philosophy of Reverence for Life. Recently we completed a "Reverence for Life" garden in a primary school.
